A wonderful “Sigma Phi Epsilon” Crown fraternity badge modelled in 10ct gold and bordered with pearls. It features a black enamel heart in the centre with gold lettering and skull and crossbones underneath.
Sigma Phi Epsilon was a social college fraternity, started in 1901 in Richmond, United states. It was founded under its core principles – Virtue, Diligence and Brotherly Love and is why the heart was chosen as their emblem. The reason for the skull and crossbones is a mystery and one only known to members.
It’s complete with a pin and safety catch on the reverse along with a gold chain leading to a ‘B’ shaped pin. It’s in excellent condition and a great collector’s piece.
